Bob Newkirk specializes in R&D tax credits, bringing valuable insights and a consultative mindset to each engagement. His understanding of business, technology and innovation allows him to efficiently review and analyze financial data in ways that maximize credits to the full extent of the law.

With more than eight years of experience in public and corporate accounting, Bob has successfully provided financial, legal, and transactional support to organizations of all sizes. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors for five private and venture-backed entities, contributing expertise in developing innovative, science-based solutions. His contributions to these businesses highlight his commitment to fostering groundbreaking advancements in various industries.

Bob’s diverse career encompasses accounting, management, teaching and law. He began his career at in the Entrepreneurial Services group of Ernst & Young. He subsequently joined the SEC in the Office of the General Counsel in Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for reviewing accounting violations. Additionally, Bob spent 12 years practicing corporate law in an international firm and two Fortune 100 companies. At UnitedHealth Group, his various roles included CFO for UnitedHealth Capital and general partner in two private equity funds, overseeing investments of nearly $90 million across 16 companies.
